• Unshaped Refractory Materials

Unshaped refractory materials are defined as” mixtures consisting of aggregates, additives, and binders, prepared for direct use in the state of delivery or after adding suited liquids”. In contrast to refractory bricks, they are without specific shape and are in majority placed in larger sections behind molds and templates forming a monolithic lining. Gunning installations without the requirement for a mold are increasing due to ease of application and higher installation speed.

Tabular Alumina is a good aggregate

Tabular Alumina is an aggregate of high-purity, well-sintered ( ≥ 1900℃) crystalline alpha alumina, it has coarse crystal, well-developed a-Al2O3 crystal structure . Tabular Alumina has high temperature volume stability, low water absorption, low apparent porosity and impurities, and high thermal thock resistance. Tabular Alumina can be used as the main component in aluminium-carbon, widely apply to the steel, casting, ceramics etc., its application in iron and steel industry almost covers.
